"Delirium" - A 16mm Short Film about a 1940's Military Bomber who is convinced by the voice of "God" (Nazi Officers) that he is in Purgatory for his judgement and needs to cleanse his sins from his soul by going through a burning room (furnace).

Shayla was the Art Director for this short film. They had access to a sound stage and constructed, built, and decorated two sets, the room which was Purgatory and also the Nazi Officer's Office. These were taken place in an underground bunker in the 1940's during the war, this is why the walls are distressed and texturized with grimy broken tile.

Art  

"Undead Apocalypse" - A Digital Feature Film about a bio-attack by Islamic extremist terrorists causing a sudden zombie outbreak. A small group of survivors at a University struggle to reach a professor's lab where a possible cure to the pathogen resides.

 

 

Shayla was the Production Designer and Wardrobe Stylist for this Feature Film. A majority of the film was shot in and around a University, but here are the sets of an Office and Scientists Laboratory that were created on sound stages for the film.       

Set in 1886 centered around an Irish Immigrant in New York. Mick, is a boxer who gets in deep with the Irish mob, while trying to save his family. ï»¿"Mick the Brick" - A 35mm Short Film

Shayla was a Set Decorator for this short film. They created 4 sets on a sound stage, which included the interior of a Bar, Locker Room, House, and a Boxing Ring. Because this is a period piece dressing the set was challenging but lots of fun.              

"Hotel Hell" hosted by Gordon Ramsay: a TV show that transforms struggling hotels in hopes to turn it around and keep it up and running in business.     

 

 

Shayla was an Art Department Coordinator on this episode of "Hotel Hell" - The Curtis House. They did main transformations in the lobby and bedrooms at this Inn. Displayed in these photos you can see the walls were repainted, and different furniture and decorations were brought in to modernize and fulfill the rooms more, while also keeping some old items that possess the Inn's history. 

An L.L. Bean commercial, showcasing their 100% guaranteed backpacks. 

 

Shayla was an Art Assistant on this L.L. Bean commercial. She helped organize and keep track of the L.L. Bean backpacks and clothing.

Connecticut Sun commercials for the WNBA. 

 

 

Shayla was an Art Assistant on these WNBA commercials. She helped decorate the set locations with props and background looks. 

"Get Ready To Get Ready" by Rodney Carrington, a music video for the opening of ESPN's "Colin's Football Show".   

 

Shayla was an Art Assistant on this music video. She helped create and get props ready and set up decorations around the sets.  

"Smile" by the band R5, a music video made for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games

 

 

Shayla was the Set Decorator for this music video. They started with an empty warehouse and turned it into a 360 degree set. Putting together 3 levels of  scalffolding and decorating them with colorful fabrics, flags, duct tape, and photos. Also painted on all of the participating country flags (around 60) onto tall wooden pallets.   

"Broadcasting Christmas" -aired on The Hallmark Channel; Two news broadcasters who were once in love are fighting for a host position on a talk show around Christmas time, to only find out they still have feelings for each other .

Shayla was the Set Dresser for this film. Day in and day out on set Christmas decorations were dressed and taken down on all of the sets and locations. Besides all of the Christmas dressing there were also office spaces and news stations/talk show sets that were dressed. 

"Avow" a feature film about two young men who ask permission of their priest to marry them. His refusal sets in motion intersecting emotional and spiritual journeys for not only the young men but himself that test the structure of romance, sexuality, faith and family.

Shayla was the Set Decorator for this feature film. The entire film was shot on different locations, which needed to be decorated to portray the mood for this film. Some locations included are a bedroom and office space, which was not already set. One piece of set dressing Shayla needed to build from scratch was a confessional screen that is pictured here. She was also in charge of all of the props as well. 

"The Trouble with Mistletoe" a feature film about a pet shop owner who around Christmas time receives a customer from her past. He doesn't remember her and she doesn't know how to react. She throws a coin in a fountain and makes a Christmas wish in hopes that mistletoe can embrace sparks between them.  

 

Shayla was the Set Dresser for this feature film. A few examples photographed are the main character's local dog shop, which Shayla helped dress, starting off in an empty room. Within the room is Christmas decorations and dog supplies, treats, and toys. In the other photo is an entrance way dressed for a Sadie Hawkins Dance taking place in early 2000.  

Shayla decorated a Fox executive lounge for the filming of the singing competition show called The Four.

Shayla worked assisting the art department on season 13 of "America's Got Talent" and the spin-off show "AGT The Champions". This is one of the spaces she sourced and bought dressing for.
